JOB PURPOSE
Accountable and responsible for the development and the execution of company’s North American Operations strategy, assuring that operational targets are met in line with company’s values, ethical principles and business plans/strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures the accurate accounting, interpretation and reporting of results.
• Is responsible for all physical assets of the plant; such as building, machinery, equipment and grounds.
• Responsible for the annual operating budget including preparation and presentation.
• Deep dive into manufacturing variance (actual vs plan) performance with prompt action and improvement plan
• Writes concise and accurate capital authorization applications, for capital expenditures. Monitors spending and progress on any capital projects regardless of who may be running the project.
• Responsible for continuously improving production/plant operations and ensures there is an ongoing program to control and reduce cost, improve quality and operating efficiency.
• Develops productivity roadmap which supports meeting or exceeding budgeted profit and productivity commitments.
• Leads the plant in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Standard Work, Manufacturing Basics, 5S, Kaizen events, and other lean manufacturing concepts.
• Fosters culture that supports company’s Business & Conduct plan
• Communicates plant mission, results and provides customer feedback to all team members.
• Works as requested with the commercial team or engineering on new product development and business growth opportunities by efficiently providing accurate manufacturing assumption information.
• Leads a daily management system that enhances communication, transparency and accountability among all associates.
• Communicates with all plant personnel so that all goals, expectations, and performance as compared to plan are well understood. Ensure that documented monthly communications and weekly staff meetings are held.
